Not quite sure what figure you mean – but if it’s the levy fee then we simply don’t know. My view is the figure should be set so that the EGF income in 2025 matches what it gets in 2024, i.e. no stealth increase. Others may well want the EGF income to increase. One advantage of this system is that if the number of people playing goes up then the EGF will get more income, so it gives them an incentive to work at the grass roots and increase Go playing numbers…
In terms of who pays, it’s in two parts.
1. EGF will bill the BGA, so it will only be the BGA paying money to the EGF.
2. The BGA Board hasn’t yet discussed whether we need to implement a levy system on TDs, or just fund it all from our membership rates – but to me it would seem unfair if non-members get to play for the same price and get the same EGD benefits that people who have paid for a BGA membership do.
The first response on this thread asked what benefits we get from EGF membership. As far as I’m aware, it covers:
* Maintaining the European Go Database
* Organising various European championships such as European Youth etc.
* Organising some initiatives such as the Youth Academy, though arguably the benefit there is greater for smaller countries who unlike us don’t have the ability or critical mass to run such things themselves
* After that I personally start running out …

Please note that there is no specific requirement for any BGA system to be exactly cost-reflective. It makes sense for any levy system to be approximately "pass-through" - but it does not have to be exact. I fully agree that it is important that TD's are not unduly inconvenienced.
Irrespective of what final system the the EGF comes up with, we may decide to subsidise juniors, or first-time tournament entries, or anyone else. And it may be that we continue to ask TD's to ask for non-BGA members to confess on an honesty basis - and if some of them are dishonest, for the BGA itself to pick up the bill.
Obviously we are all discussing something that doesn't exist yet but let's suppose LOGC achieves its glory days of 100+, what's the ball park figure, please and, dishonesty aside, who would pay?
I still like the idea of an EGF passport and the FFG system.
