Members,
Following an initial experiment last year the BGA has negotiated a monthly
series of six online lessons from two top Korean professionals. The lessons
will target players at the 9 kyu - 3 dan level. Players outside that range
will be very welcome, and will doubtless find a lot of value in them.
Hopefully we can achieve a good attendance.
Each lesson will be 90 minutes long and held on Discord. You can sign up for
individual lessons, or at a discount for the whole series.
Lessons 1 - 3 are by Kim Seung-Jun (also known as Blackie). He is a famous 9
dan Korean professional, and possibly his best result was 4th at the 1997
Samsung Cup.
These will focus on reviews of actual games and what can be learned from
them. Some will be professional games, but he is keen to review your games
as well. If you have a game record (.sgf) that you think might be
interesting please send it in with your registration. There is of course no
guarantee it will be chosen.
Lesson 1 - Sunday 25th January 14:00 (UK time)
Lesson 2 - Sunday 22nd February 14:00 (UK time)
Lesson 3 - Sunday 29th March 14:00 (UK time)
Lessons 4 - 6 are by Eunkyo Do. She is a 1-dan Korean professional, and gave
us a fascinating online lecture last year that some may remember. Her
lectures will focus on a specific topic of interest, which she has not yet
confirmed.
Lesson 4 - Sunday 26th April 14:00 (UK time)
Lesson 5 - Sunday 24th May 14:00 (UK time)
Lesson 6 - Sunday 28th June 14:00 (UK time)
Cost
To attend an individual lesson:
* BGA Member - £10
* Non-Member - £12.50
To attend all six lessons:

U18s receive a 50% discount on the above.
It is possible to upgrade to pay for the full series after lesson 1, just
paying the difference in price.
Payments are by bank transfer to the BGA Account. Full details on how to pay
will be sent to you after you register.
