FROM THE EDITOR

This issue, and previous newsletters, are available in the Newsletter
Archive <https://britgo.org/newsletter> in the Members' Area. This is the
most reliable way to view the Newsletters, as some email clients can
corrupt the formatting of the pictures.

Contributions are always welcome, both from our members and others. We ask
that they be Go-related and "newsy". The place for debate and general
discussion is the BGA open mailing list Gotalk. However, an introduction to
a new topic is fine in the Newsletter. A brief introduction to Gotalk, with
a link for joining, is on the BGA page Go on the Internet
<https://britgo.org/gopcres/info#mail>.

*Instructions for Contributors:* Please use plain text not
file-attachments. Keep it fairly brief, and give web-links and contact
details. It's good to include pictures. If they are on the internet, send
me the URL, otherwise attach the picture files to your email. Send your
contribution to newsletter at britgo.org to arrive by the first day of the
month.

NEWSPandanet Go European Team Championship

The sixth match of the B-League season, on 25th February, was against
Belgium. Three games were played the day before at Belgium's request, with
wins for Scott Cobbold and Bruno Poltronieri, but a loss for Jake Game. On
the Tuesday Michael Cheung could not clinch the win and so the match was
drawn. It left the team in fifth place. Round 7 will be on 18th March
against Serbia.
European Youth Go team Competition

Toby Manning reports that the UK youth Go team won against Italy in the
second round. Our players in this round were: Audrey Fung, Blake Shamoon,
Adam Siqi Chen and Lukasz Kudla. Details here <https://eygtc.org/2025/>.
The Ukraine and us are now the only unbeaten teams in the competition, so
it is almost certain we will play Ukraine next round on 15th March.

Introducing ExploreBaduk – A New Online Go Platform

We received the following from the ExploreBaduk team. BGA President Colin
Williams notes that apparently it has been set up by a Bulgarian company.

"Dear British Go Association

We hope you're doing well! We are reaching out from ExploreBaduk
<https://explorebaduk.com/>, a newly launched, modern platform where Go
players can play, learn, and connect with the global Go community.

ExploreBaduk is designed to provide a high-quality playing experience
alongside in-depth game analysis tools, making it an exciting new hub for
Go enthusiasts of all levels. In addition to playing and reviewing games,
the platform offers:

Achievements to track progress and milestones,
Puzzles for training and skill improvement,
News and community features to keep players engaged,
A free Teachers section, allowing Go instructors to list themselves and
connect with students at no cost,
And much more!
As we’ve just launched, we’re eager to introduce ExploreBaduk to more
players and would love your help in spreading the word. If you're open to
it, we’d greatly appreciate a mention on your website, whether as an
article, a short post, or any format that fits your content style.

We are happy to provide any additional information, screenshots, or
insights to make this easier for you. Here’s a short video
<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hXFscHufS-g> introducing ExploreBaduk.

Please let us know if this is something you'd be interested in. We’d love
to collaborate in any way that helps the Go community grow!"
