      <p>For many years the BGA has had public liability Insurance. This

        obviously covers the BGA itself, but we also believed (as a

        result of correspondence with the insurers) that it also covered

        affiliated clubs. <br>

      </p>

      <p>However, further correspondence this week has indicated that

        our understanding was incorrect, and that affiliated clubs were

        NOT covered: the actual extent of  coverage of our insurance is

        now unclear. <br>

      </p>

      <p><span style="mso-fareast-language:EN-US">We are working as a

          matter of urgency to clarify the situation, and if necessary

          rectify it, but until we have a definite solution members

          should act on the side of safety and consider that the BGA's 

          Public Liability Insurance does not cover themselves as

          individuals or events that they may organise.</span></p>
