<p><b>Cheltenham Go Tournament</b></p>
<p>Regrettably the Cheltenham Go Tournament due to take place on
this coming Saturday, June 4, has been cancelled: a train strike
and a crowded calendar has meant that there are insufficient
entries to make a good tournament. <br>

<p><b>Iwamoto Europe Foundation</b></p>
<p>The IEF was set up with proceeds from the sale of the European Go
Cultural Centre in Amsterdam, and has the objective of:</p>
<div dir="auto">1. in the spirit of the deceased sensei Iwamoto
Kaoru, to promote mind sport go in Europe and furthermore to do
everything directly or indirectly related thereto or that can be
conducive thereto, all in the broadest sense of the words.</div>
<div dir="auto"><br>
</div>
<div dir="auto">2. It aims to achieve this objective <i>inter alia</i>
by means of: the promotion and financial support of projects that
have the objective of promoting go as a grassroots sport in Europe
and/or promoting go as a Mind Sport for young people.</div>
<div dir="auto"><br>
It has 6 Directors: the EGF President and 2 members elected by the
EGF members, plus 3 from the Nihon Ki-in. <br>
</div>
<div dir="auto">In 2021 Gerry Gavigan (UK) and Dominique Cornuejols
(F) were elected for a period of 4 years, but Dominique has now
resigned, and the EGF is looking for a replacement. If anyone is
interested in standing please contact the BGA Secretary
(<a href="mailto:secretary@britgo.org" target="_blank">secretary@britgo.org</a>) <b>before June 8.</b></div>
